Living History Weekend

October 6th and 7th
Experience Living History! The Collings Foundation will open our doors to the public for a unique event showcasing a rare collection of WWII aircraft, vehicles, and equipment. WWII Veterans will be on hand recounting their experiences during the war and re-enactors in period uniform will give unforgettable performances. The rare Fiesler FI-156 Storch will be flying, exhibiting incredible flying characteristics. We will be offering flights in our PT-17 Stearman during the event. See the fully restored M-16 Half Track with quad mount machine guns, German 88mm flak cannon, TBM Avenger and much more!

The Fiesler FI-156 Storch has an incredible history during WWII. This aircraft is well known for its versatility and easy flying characteristics. The plane that saved Mussolini! (temporarily). We will be flying as part of the battle reenactment. |

Our M-16 Half-Track has been beautifully restored. The quad mount 50cal machine guns fully rotate. The M-16 will be participating in the WWII battle re-enactments. |

The German 88mm flak cannon was feared by all airmen. One of the first weapons to have "pre-programmed" ammunition. This cannon will also be a part of the battle re-enactments. |

For a "birds eye" view of the event- we will be offering PT-17 Stearman rides. This magnificent bi-plane is a lot of fun to fly in! Call to reserve your flight:

It will be the Allied vs. the Axis in a very memorable battle re-enactment! This living history perfomance will captivate and educate. It will take place each day at 2 PM. |
