Wings of Freedom Tour celebrates its 2,718th stop
A monumental achievement! 24 years and still going

In Honor of Our WWII Veterans
It is hard to fathom that our 24th annual Wings of Freedom tour is starting today! Our first stop with the B-17 Flying Fortress “Nine 0 Nine”, B-24 Liberator “Witchcraft” and P-51 Mustang “Betty Jane” will be landing at Sebring Airport. The tour will be part of the US Sport Aviation Expo over this weekend then off to another 15 cities in Florida over the course of January, February and early March.

The tour will continue on through Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas in mid March. First part of Texas the Foundation's UH-1E Huey Helicopter will join the tour. We are hopeful the Messerschmitt Me 262 "White 1" will be making appearances at select locations (keep an eye on the schedule). In April we will be visiting Oklahoma, back into Texas, through Arizona and then to California. At that point, the Wings of Freedom tour will make its way up the West Coast through May and June. There will be many more stops after that! We anticipate visiting between 110 and 115 cities over the course of 2013.

Keep an eye on our Wings of Freedom tour schedule posted on our web site and eNews letter. We continuously update the schedule with confirmed stops, dates and locations.

We encourage you to be a Wings of Freedom tour volunteer! Being a volunteer is great fun and vitally important. We can always use the help promoting the tour’s arrival and keeping the planes in good shape. I have a great media pack we can send to you that contains legal size tour posters, press releases, fancy pictures and aircraft historical information. If interested in receiving a pack for a tour stop in your area please contact Director of Marketing, Hunter Chaney at: hchaney@collingsfoundation.org

Thank you for helping us “Keep ‘Em Flying” for the benefit of all. Look forward to seeing everyone in 2013.
