During our WWII living history weekend "Battle of the Airfield" at our Stow museum we have a Veterans discussion / round-table. This is one of the most amazing, touching and educational experiences we could ever imagine. To hear the stories of determination, survival and honor directly from our Veterans is indelible. So sad to hear the two most vocal opponents on the Planning Board say this is not educational - especially when they have never been to the event. ...
Please keep in mind folks, we don't want to take the town of Stow to court. But, in honor of our and all national museums, living history programs, exhibition and preservation of historical artifacts and honoring our veterans - we have to. Just hoping for some kind of reason to this decision. What a terrible waste of Stow tax revenue to pay for a lawyer who has been 'guiding' the Planning Board through this process. ...
It is quite unfortunate, and very sad, that the Stow Planning board has determined that our existing museum, living history events, school group tours, Veteran discussions, preservation and exhibition of historical artifacts, etc. - are not educational. Never had we ever imagined that this would be contested. Jeeze. On to the next step... ...
